My husband & I are getting older. So are our eyes. After continuously struggling to see and read things I decided to do something about it. Reading the reviews & features this has I gave it a try.

We use it so much now. Love the bright light it gives off, evenly too. It gives you a clear vision of whatever you are reading or looking at. I can now SEE precription #'s, recipes, labels in general and other daily things. Its not heavy for my hands. Which is good for my shakes & authritis. Weight makes it worse.

We use it so much we bought one for our rv/camper cuz we started wishing we had brought it with us. LoL. It is worth the purchase. And yes, I'd buy another one if needed.

I have a rare condition that has caused me to dearly value this product. I initially bought it to help me see things up close, as my cataracts became worse. When I had one cataract removed, the Dr. damaged the lens sack so as not to allow a replacement lens to be installed. So I have one eye that still has a bad cataract and is useless; and I have one eye without a lens. The lensless eye is very blurry and I can't see with any definition. I'm legally blind, awating some heart work before correcting the eye situation. NOW THE PURPOSE of this narrative is to offer help to any others with my problem! One day as I sat working at my computer, wih my magnifier pressed against my lensless eye to see my monitor, I listened to a TV news program across the room (about 6'), I heard a news alert and automatically turned my head (with the magnifier still presssed to my face) toward the TV, AND I could see the TV screen very clearly (great definition)! Then I found out that I could see clearly at greater distances (like down a long street) Hallelujah!! Of course the lens is only a few inches in diameter, but you can move your head from side to side to get a panoramic view. This has given me great relief as, without this device I would be more severely handicapped and depressed. Normal sighted people would have no way to discover this power, so it's important to make this info known. In fact, the manufacturer/seller should make it known as a use. Only negative I have to say is that the light switch fails after a lot of use and I tried cleaning my 1st magnifiers lens with eyelass lens cleaner and damaged the lens, so I bought a 2nd unit, and eventually the switch became really "flaky" so I bought a 3rd unit. These positives of this product far ouyweigh the negatives. ...also, price is good! Hope this helps someone out there! Regards, Arizona Bill

I’m very impressed with this item, I didn’t know the led light would make this product perfect. I just tested the item on the paperwork for my class and I can read all the Chinese characters easily. I am pretty sure my grandma would be happy to receive one as a Christmas gift.

I've been looking for something like this for years. I don't know if my failure to find such a powerful magnifying lens has been my fault, or if such lenses have only recently become available, but this is what I've been searching for. Is it a 30 power lens? I don't know, but it's as powerful as I have hoped for, and as powerful as I need. Furthermore, it's magnification is for the entire 3"+ lens, not for a tiny sub-lens. Too heavy? What a silly comment. The only thing about it that might be too much--not for me-- is the lighting system. It uses two AA batteries to produce more light than is really needed, but I'm not complaining. Everything considered, it's just what I needed. The only thing that puzzles me is that there are several other 30-power magnifying glasses for sale here. They might even be better, but I'm not going to investigate. I'm just wondering where all of these lenses have been all these years. Have I been blind?

I bought this as a Christmas gift to my husband. At first he looked disappointed ...... until he needed it! He had a deep splinter in his hand, and found that using a lit magnifying glass was exactly what we needed. Since then, I've used it for instructions, recipes, etc ..... It ended up being my husbands' favorite gift. Since we keep it on my desk, I use it more than he does! No regrets here! This lit magnifying glass is perfect!

Good led lighitng. My first try I was not pleased, but I found I was holding the magnifier two close to the item, and put my eyes to close also. When I moved the magnifier back, and I moved away from the magnifier, I was able to see tiny items much easier. Today I had an instruction manual which used a very small font. I could only read the headline, the text was not legible. You can see the magnification from the 2nd photo. Now that I have learned to use this, I keep it on my desk.
